Our pregnancy yoga classes are an effective way to exercise body and mind. The classes makes use of physical exercise, breathing, and mindfulness or relaxation practices. Some modifications are required in pregnancy, but our experts are ready to guide you with modifications to suit fitness level and goals. The main benefit is that it can help you maintain flexibility, avoid stiffness, and stay supple and healthy. There are a range of different 1:1 and group options to suit you and your lifestyle.
Our women’s health yoga classes welcome all women, who want to engage in a healthy, revitalising practice. We specialise in working with women and offer a range of classes to suit all levels. The benefits of yoga include anxiety and stress reduction, improvements in heart health, improvements in mood and immunity. We offer individual and yoga classes for those going through the menopause. Yoga can help you address symptoms of menopause, including hot flashes, anxiety and stiffness. Yoga is a restorative exercise which builds your strength, flexibility and with a focus on breathing to support your physical and mental wellbeing. It can even help regulate hormones! The women that attend our yoga classes report decreased stress, decreased hot flushes and joint pain, and increased energy!
COST AND LOCATION
We have a range of locations across the UK. Class costs are in the region of £8-£15 dependent on the class level/activity and length of class. Individual yoga sessions are in the range of £45-£60 for a 60 minute session. We also run a range of yoga retreats and yoga event days.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We have a range of specialist yoga classes, including women’s health, pregnancy and postnatal classes. Our yoga classes are friendly and relaxed in a variety of beautiful and unique spaces across the UK. The focus is on mindful movement as we explore traditional asana sequences to build harmony, balance and strength both physically, energetically and spiritually. Our classes include breath work to help ground you into the practice and often guided deep relaxation at the end of the session finish.
YOGA INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
We can also offer individual sessions. We will check in with your goals, and focus on mindful moving, breathing and relaxation to help you feel calm, relaxed and rejuvenated.
WHAT’S THE BUZZ
Nikki’s classes are fantastic! She’s got such a lovely warm manner and is so experienced. Alongside the yoga, she gives really useful advice which I never had with other yoga sessions I attended during my first pregnancy (she really knows her stuff!). I loved the different breathing techniques she taught us (the ocean breath is awesome!) and will continue to use them going forwards. She also makes you tea at the end of the session which provides a really nice opportunity to chat to the other women in the class. I always left Nikki’s classes feeling super relaxed and rejuvenated. I miss going to them!
I had done a few yoga classes many years ago while I still lived in London, but to be honest I found them intimidating and clinical. I soon stopped going. Since moving to Sussex I thought I would try again and found GLOYOGA. Georgie’s classes are wonderful! They are fun, friendly and full of positive energy. She shows how poses can be adapted according to your own flexibility, making her classes truly accessible to everyone. Georgie’s passion for what she does shines through and her calming spirit is infectious. I genuinely look forward to my class each week and can not recommend GLOYOGA enough. It turns out I love yoga, I just needed to find the right teacher!
The BEST mummy and baby class I did post pregnancy! Anna is a fantastic yoga teacher who knows the postnatal body (and all our new flaws) inside out. Anna is calm in her teaching and provides poses for all abilities. It’s great that we can take our little ones and there’s no judgment. A friendly, warm class that will really rebuild your core strength and work on any problem areas following childbirth. Thanks for all your help.
