INDIVIDUAL PILATES SURREY
Before your first Pilates session, we offer you a zoom video call or a phone call to chat things through which we can use as a ‘getting to know you’ exercise. You will also receive a health questionnaire to fill in, so we can design the Pilates programme to your individual needs. The sessions can be held at your home or in one of our clinics or studios.
Our teachers will go through a full movement and postural assessment which gives us a visual insight into the areas in which we feel would benefit you in terms of strengthening & improving flexibility, and enable us to work more on a functional level.
Sessions will usually last 1 hour and it is recommended that around 6 sessions are booked to start seeing some of the results that people are after. The 1-1 sessions focus on the principles and terminology of Pilates such as Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breathing, Flow.
PILATES CLASSES SURREY
Our Pilates classes are generally small, with 6-8 for mum and baby classes. Your instructor will let you know what to bring – some instructors bring mats, and others ask you to bring one with you. You will generally be asked to fill in a health screening form beforehand.
You need to come in some comfortable exercise clothes such as sports leggings and a top; you won’t need trainers for a Pilates session as you can go barefoot or wear some grippy socks. The classes involve pilates exercises for developing core stability, closing of the abdominal gap, improving your mobility and working the pelvic floor. Pilates equipment might be used, where appropriate.
Our Pilates classes are suitable for complete Pilates beginners or the regular Pilates goer who has attended 30+ classes. Your instructor will let you know which class is best for you.
Working with Adele has been a revelation! She has transformed the way I exercise, helping me to reconnect with my body, overcome my Diastasis, regain core strength and rebuild body confidence. Adele’s has such a passion for women’s health and this truly comes through in her teaching. I can’t wait to see what I can achieve next with your knowledge and support! Thank you so much.
I am so pleased with my classes with Lucy. She is an excellent teacher who puts you at ease, explains positions and reasons for them in a clear precise way and can relax the most stressed of people! The focus on breathing technique during her classes helped enormously with my recent labour with my little girl. I will/have recommended her to everyone.
About to complete my final week of the beginners course and I have loved it all! Caroline is a fab teacher, she clearly explains everything and the environment is so relaxed. Can't wait to get stuck into the next stage!
