I'm Natalie, the face behind Rest&Nest Postnatal. I am a postnatal doula based in Surrey, UK, and I love supporting women and birthing people through their transition into parenthood.
Rest&Nest provides emotional, physical, informational and practical support for the transition into parenthood - no matter how you welcome your baby.
Becoming a parent is a life changing event and with the right nurturing support, nourishing food, space to be heard and time for your body and mind to heal you can transition into parenthood with confidence and joy. I am here to facilitate a time of physical and emotional recovery, whatever that looks like for you, and to give you space to fall in love with your new family. That's right, space to Rest&Nest!
I provide support in your home with visits once or twice a week and zoom/phone calls to check in with you in the mean time. Every home visit will be different and that's one of the benefits of having someone supporting you individually - I can tailor the support for whatever you most need that day.
Maybe you really need a listening ear, some nutritious food and simple breastfeeding support. Perhaps you would like help soothing aching limbs and sore bits and you'd love a nap knowing there is a trusted pair of hands to look after baby. Maybe you are feeling out of control and you'd just love someone to tell you you're doing great!
I can help with light housework, changing sheets, meal prep and batch cooking, making warming and healing food and drinks, comforting touch massage and belly binding, baby wearing support, feeding support, care of older siblings, shopping, signposting to other services and most importantly of all I'm there to cheer you on and listen.
I also offer online support for those who don't want in-home visits either due to personal circumstances, time, money, COVID, illnesses or location. My services really are available worldwide! Whilst I can't change your sheets or cook you dinner over Zoom, but I certainly can provide a listening, non-judgemental ear, help you make plans and strategies that increase your peace and joy in parenthood as well as signposting to other services.
I offer a free telephone consultation to anyone considering booking my services , so don't hesitate to get in touch today.

"Natalie is entirely the sort of visitor you want in your home in the days after you’ve given birth. She was calm, quiet, supportive and so productive during her time with us. I remember we had a midwife visit and Natalie just fit around us, making us a nutritious lunch and filling our freezer with delicious home made food. We ate so well in the days that followed!
We don’t have family nearby so my husband had been very busy that week, ensuring baby and I had everything we could possibly need. Natalie’s visit meant that he could rest too and it took the pressure off him for a little while which made me happy.
Finally, Natalie was kind and a non- judgemental ear. You get a lot of advice as a new mother and very little is helpful. It’s a real skill that Natalie has to be able to listen and remain impartial whilst providing up to date, safe guidance when asked. She created a safe space for me to focus on what mattered: my bond with my new son." - Alexandra, First Time Mother.
