Hi, my name is Andrea and I am a therapist and a mum.
After my daughter was born I suffered with post natal anxiety. I told no one and suffered in silence until it got so bad that I went to my GP and was referred for therapy. The therapy I was given initially I didn't think was great. I wanted to see some one who understood. Someone who had been there. Someone who would understand when I said I had sat on my kitchen floor at 10am crying my eyes out about worries I couldn't even name.
I did my own research and I did get better. So then I decided to retrain. I wanted to become the type of therapist I would have wanted to see 5 years ago. I only wanted to work with women who were suffering post natal depression and post natal anxiety.
Sessions with me are without judgment. They are a space for you to talk freely to some one who will REALLY get it. And together we can unpick the jigsaw puzzle and start putting it back together. One piece at a time.

The majority of my sessions are conducted via Skype. The key reason for this is I wanted to make my therapy practice available for anyone no matter where they were in the world and whatever their personal circumstances.
Offering sessions via Skype means I can do early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and better still, you don’t need to put make up on, make any sort of effort what so ever. I don’t care if you are in 3 day old jumpers with vomit on the shoulders as long as you show up for our session.
Sessions are typically one hour long and the first of those is usually an initial fact finding assessment and a get to know each other. Its important you feel we can work together. During this session I can answer any questions you may have and explain the therapy in more detail.
COST : £50 per 60 min session
12 week Re boot Program
This program will re invent you.
We will work together to look not only at the areas of your life that are causing you mental distress but also include some areas of life coaching.
The 12 weeks include at least 8 sessions of REBT but will also look at other areas such as your baby or child’s sleeping issues working to get them, and you, into a better routine. We can look at systems to get you better organised in your household keeping on top of the housework etc if that is an issue for you.
A session can be with both you and your partner if we mutually agree that this would be beneficial. We can look at practical issues such as going to back to work after maternity leave and how we feel about childcare.
You will receive work sheets on nutrition, mindfulness, sleep, controlling anger amongst others.
Think of it as a system re boot to get you back up and running again. You won’t be the women you were, she’s gone but you will be a new version of you. A stronger version ready to face the world as a mum and a woman in her own right.
