We want you to make the most of your women’s health expert profile to ensure you attract new clients and boost your visibility within your specialism.
Your profile might be the first time a potential client sees what you offer and it is essential that you are clear about who you work with and the type of work you do best.
To help you do this, these are our top 5 tips to effectively market yourself through your Luna Hive profile:
A professional headshot can make a big difference when a potential client is making a quick judgement about which profile to look at.
What doesn’t work?
If would like a new headshot, or want to update the ones you have, we offer mini shoots where you can have your headshot done for at a significantly reduced cost. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you the details.
Prospective clients need to be reassured you have the skills they are looking for, that you understand their issues and that they are clear about exactly what you offer.
Make sure you introduce what you do and where you do clearly at the top of this section. For example, I am a Nutritional Therapist based in Weybridge who specialises in working with women on their diet in pregnancy.
Then, ask yourself what issues do I specialise working with? Which clients do I enjoy the most? The answers to these questions will indicate the characteristics and problems of your ideal client.
Once you have identified your ideal client, you can describe what you do in a way that resonates with them and helps them identify if they are the type of client you work with.
Sometimes writing in the 2nd person (you, your etc.) can help connect with the prospective client and show them you understand what they are experiencing. Avoid any clinical terms or jargon that the client won’t understand.
Finally, be clear about what you offer. Can they book online for added flexibility and ease? Do you work 1 to 1 or in groups? What days of the week are you available? Do you work in person or via Skype/phone?
If you’d like to see an example of an about section that uses the format above, take a look at Dr Jo Gee or Sophie Griffiths.
All experts on The Luna Hive have their own unique directory page on which means you have your own URL which Google can find.
This gives you to opportunity to use keywords on your profile page to help Google find you and direct clients looking for your services, straight to your page.
Consider 2-3 words that describe your location and your services e.g. I am a Nutritional Therapist based in Weybridge who specialises in working with women on their diet in pregnancy.
So my keywords I want to rank for in Google are Nutritional Therapist, Weybridge and diet in pregnancy. Then use these, or similar words which convey the same message, in a natural way throughout your page. This helps Google understand what your page is about and rank it accordingly.

One of the easiest ways to enable a prospective client to book a consultation with you is to use the booking tool. It’s quick, easy to use and accessible 24/7, all the things clients tell us are important to them.
It’s up to you whether you offer a limited number of appointments or manage your entire booking system through the booking system. By enabling clients to book when it suits them, whether that is at 3am when they are up with their baby, or 8am on their daily commute, you get a better chance of being the expert that is easily accessible.
When prospective clients go to your profile they will see the blogs you have written. Reading your blogs will help them to get to know, like and trust you which is key to helping them make a decision about who to work with.
Articles that are niche-focused, informative and helpful increase your credibility in the eyes of the reader.
If you are stuck for what to write about, just think about the most common questions your clients ask you or what pain points they want solving.
